This Privacy Policy explains how Event ConnecTD LLC ("Event ConnecTD," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use eventconnectd.com and related services (the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, company name, and role
- Profile information (Travel Directors): work history, past programs, skills, certifications, references, photos, location, and availability
- Business information (Companies): company details, program requirements, and hiring preferences
- Communications: messages sent through the Platform, inquiries, and support requests
- Billing information: invoicing details for finder's fees (payment card data, if collected, is processed by our payment processor and not stored by us)
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, searches, clicks, and time on Platform
- Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)
Information from third parties:
- Information from service providers we use to operate the Platform, such as authentication, CRM, and email delivery providers
- Publicly available professional information, where relevant to Platform operations
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Operate the marketplace, including displaying TD profiles to Companies and facilitating introductions and engagements
- Process invoices and collect finder's fees
- Communicate with you about the Platform, including transactional emails, updates, and support
- Send marketing communications you can opt out of at any time
- Improve, personalize, and secure the Platform
- Detect and prevent fraud, fee circumvention, and misuse
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:
- With other users. Travel Director profile information is visible to Companies using the Platform as part of the marketplace. Contact details and program information may be shared between a Company and a TD in connection with an introduction or engagement.
- With service providers. We use third-party providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, CRM, analytics, and payment processing. These providers may process your information only to perform services for us.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, enforce our Terms, or investigate fraud or safety issues.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent.
4. Your Choices
- Account information. You can review and update your account and profile information at any time by logging in.
- Marketing emails. You can opt out using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. We will still send transactional emails related to your account.
- Profile visibility (TDs). Your profile is visible to Companies as part of the marketplace. Contact us if you want your profile hidden or your account closed.
- Account deletion. You may request deletion of your account by emailing us. We may retain certain information as needed for legal, billing, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. After account closure, we retain information only as necessary for legitimate business purposes such as recordkeeping, invoicing, dispute resolution, enforcing non-circumvention terms, and legal compliance, then delete or de-identify it.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, understand how the Platform is used, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may limit some features. We may use third-party analytics tools that collect usage data on our behalf.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- Opt out of certain processing
To exercise these rights, email us at the address in Section 12. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
10. International Users
The Platform is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice through the Platform or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
